[FPU-WiFi] | [FPU-IoT] | [FPU-Guest] | [Dorms] | [Policies]
The FPU-WiFi network is the most secure option for connecting devices as it requires both a username and password which encrypt wireless communcation. It is the preferred method to connect as you will not be prompted with a captive portal to provide additional information. Employees and students should always connect using this option instead of FPU-Guest. If you experience issues, try the following:
- Consider whether your password has changed recently. If it has, forget the FPU-WiFi network and rejoin.
- Verify your credentials work on Moodle or Office365
- Login using your username without the domain suffix. (i.e. without @fresno.edu or @students.fresno.edu)
- When connecting to FPU-WiFi, choose to trust certificates if prompted.
- On Android, change the CA Certificate drop down to do not validate.
- Try forgetting the FPU-WiFi network and adding it again.
- Make sure you are not manually setting DNS settings. Only the DHCP provided DNS servers will function.
- Disable proxy or VPN connections. Using such services it disallowed by policy.
